Notice of Privacy & Service Policies for Non-Clinical Services
Applies to: Wellness Coaching and Reiki Energy Healing
Purpose of Services
The services provided under this agreement, Wellness Coaching and Reiki Energy Healing, are non-clinical and non-psychotherapeutic in nature. These services are intended to support general wellness, personal growth, stress reduction, and mind–body awareness.
These services do not include diagnosis, treatment of mental health disorders, or medical care, and are not a substitute for licensed mental health or medical services.
Privacy & Confidentiality
While Sunflower Wellness, PLLC respects your privacy and is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information, non-clinical services are not covered under HIPAA regulations.
Information shared during sessions will be kept private to the best of our ability, with the following exceptions:
- If there is risk of harm to yourself or others
- If disclosure is required by law (e.g., court order)
- If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable individual
Basic client information (such as name, contact information, and session notes) may be stored securely for business and record-keeping purposes.
Communication
Communication may occur via phone, email, or electronic platforms. While reasonable precautions are taken, electronic communication is not guaranteed to be fully secure, and by engaging in services, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Payment Policy
All non-clinical services are self-pay only and are not billed to insurance.
Payment is due within 24 hours of service unless otherwise arranged. Accepted payment methods may include electronic payment platforms such as Zelle or PayPal.
Cancellation Policy
Clients are asked to provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a $75 late cancellation fee
- Missed appointments (no-shows) will also be charged the $75 fee
This policy allows time to offer appointments to other clients and supports the sustainability of the practice.
Scope & Boundaries
Clients understand that Wellness Coaching and Reiki are complementary wellness services and do not replace therapy, medical care, or psychiatric treatment.
If at any time it is determined that clinical mental health services are more appropriate, a referral may be provided.
Client Acknowledgment
By engaging in non-clinical services with Sunflower Wellness, PLLC, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Notice of Privacy & Service Policies and agree to its terms.
